Speed deteriorating

Hello there,

My broadband speed has been slowing to a standstill over the past couple of weeks.

Am having to use a 4G hotspot through my phone even just to load pages like this one.

Particular problems using Skype. It's like the 7th level of hell.

Please help!

Eoin

Re: Speed deteriorating

Wireless. But I’ve used the app to check WiFi speeds throughout my house which were all shown to be good.

Re: Speed deteriorating

What speed do you get wired direct to the hub?

Re: Speed deteriorating

I've got a mac, not sure how I connect to the hub. I don't have an ethernet port on my machine.

Re: Speed deteriorating

USB or Thunderbolt Ethernet Adaptor, they are reasonably cheap, and you can test wired whenever VM require you to do so. They don't accept Wifi speed tests, only wired to the Hub.

Also post Network logs and power levels from your Hub for comment.

Re: Speed deteriorating

Have purchased an ethernet cable and usb adapter. Seems to be working much better so far.

Still appalling on all other devices everywhere in the house.

Thanks

Eoin

Re: Speed deteriorating

WiFi speeds aren’t promised or guaranteed

Re: Speed deteriorating

Thanks Gary.

If you'd read the chain you'd see that the issue isn't just regarding speed, it's the fact that I can't load basic webpages at all.
