Speed Upgrade from 50Mbps?

HughA
Tuning in

I know people on 100 Mbps and above are getting free speed upgrades, are there any plans to extend this to 50 Mbps customers?

M50 was upgraded to M100 a long time ago.

M100 is now M125

Hi HughA

Thanks for posting and welcome back to the community.

In relation to the speed upgrades, this currently is only for the M100/M200 packages. This maybe reviewed in the future but there's nothing currently planned.

best wishes,

You sure you havent been upgraded and you are just nor receiving the speeds for technical reasons?

Log into the Hub settings and navigate to the Configuration data Page - post up the table that contains the value for the Downstream Maximum Data Transfer Rate.

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi) Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

Definitely have not been upgraded and apparently won't be any time soon!

Hey HughA, thank you for reaching out and as it stands right now we have no plans to increase the 50MBS speed.

It's just the 100MBS and 200MBS right now.

However this could change in the near future. Thanks

New around here?

Last September VM announced that the M50 users would be upgraded to M100, but the web page has been withdrawn.

My Broadband Ping - Roger's VM hub 5 broadband connection

I remember seeing that but can't find any reference to it now.  I could choose to pay an extra £5.10 a month to upgrade to 125 Mbps but am reluctant to do so if a free upgrade is a possibility at some time.

Are you on their... ‘Essential Broadband Plus‘ social tariff - by any chance?

If it is a legacy tariff - do you recall when you signed up for it? As Roger said... it should have been upgraded in Jan 2020 if you were on it before then
