Speed - M350 package

Hello I have got the m350 package, I'm not getting no where near the promised speeds, I get like 70 down and 24 up on wireless and not much better on the wired. I was promised up to 400

Have you tried splitting the WiFi so you have a separate 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz? Then if you have a 5GHz (AC) phone try doing a fast.com speedtest. Also try a speedtest via wired with one computer via the same website, speedtest.net is bloated with ads.

Re: Speed - M350 package

What kind of device was used for this test ?

Compare with the results from the link below, does the Hub appear to be on M350 ?

Re: Speed - M350 package

Was done on a Samsung s22 for the wireless and on my gaming pc which is wired and the speeds don't change much at all. It was only installed yesterday but I thought it would have settled by now

Re: Speed - M350 package

Can you share the results from the Samknows Realspeed test ?   Especially keen to see the speed to the Hub is correct as the first step.

If the PC is drawing less than 95Mb/s Downstream over a directly connected network cable, suspect a network cable fault has de-rated the connection from 1000 to 100Mb/s.

Re: Speed - M350 package

The modem is downstairs in the living room but my pc is in the loft, but I have the plug socket adapters that make it able to run a Internet connection through them so there's a plug downstairs thag goes straight into the modem and a plug upstairs that goes straight into back of the pc. It's gone up to 85mb now but that's still no where near what I should be getting, Isit because the cables are 5E and need replacing with the newer ones?

The powerline adapters will be the cause of the slow speed over the wired connection.

You need to confirm the speed to your HUB, as mentioned earlier, to determine if you have a stable line:

https://samknows.com/realspeed/

If you get full speed on the left then it's a limitation of your devices.

Oh and M350 is 362Mbps, not 400.

Wireless speeds is not guaranteed to be the full speed of your subscription, and even then it's only guarenteed to be 20Mbps, and you have to be on a faster subscription to benefit from free boosters/range extenders/pods.

Re: Speed - M350 package

Theres no way for me to get a wired connection straight into to modem as I don't have a laptop or anything, I'll see if I can lend a friend's just to test the speed, but what's confusing me is why am I only getting such slow speeds through wifi aswell. Surely it would be alot faster than what I'm getting. I got better speeds through WiFi with my previous provider and it was only ee broadband
