Re: Speed! 200 my arse

If your devices are connecting on 2.4 GHz you will not get higher speeds. And remember that if several devices are connected they will share the speed between them.

There are lots of things you can do to improve the WiFi.  Read through the help files

Re: Speed! 200 my arse

I've tried! Turned everything off apart from the laptop at 1am and the wifi speed on 5ghz is still slower than it was!

Re: Speed! 200 my arse

Well this is nothing to do with the broadband service, because you have tested that with a wired connection. Are you sure that gets you 200Mb?

You will need to read up on the WiFi help files. It can't be changed remotely.

If your Deco isn’t putting out full speeds have your tried removing it from the equation?

Re: Speed! 200 my arse

We're in Area 20 which is over subscribed so my 200 that I pay for is more like 80 so I might be better off looking at paying half the money for 50 mbps 😞

Re: Speed! 200 my arse

You said in #7 that you get 200 with a wired connection, so you are getting what you pay for.

WiFi is your responsibility.

Area is an administrative area not a technical one. I'm in area 20 too and like you I get just what I pay for.

Bye for now.

Re: Speed! 200 my arse

You need to reoptimise your Wi-Fi setup then.

If you get full speeds when wired, I.e full speed delivered to your hub, then there’s nothing wrong with your connection.
