Slow wired connection

Hi All,

Currently subscribed to M200 broadband package with my superhub 3 about 30cm away from my laptop using a wired connection.

I keep experiencing very slow speed when I perform a speed test, sometimes upto 90mbps and sometimes as low as 10-15mbps.

I'd like to know :

A) anything I can do to improve this.

B) do I require a new superhub.

C) is it worth going down the route of buying a router and using the superhub as a modem only.

Please be aware that I'm a bit of a noob so any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Steve

Re: Slow wired connection

What is the spec of the cable (printed on the cable sheath) and the make/model of the NIC on the laptop?

Re: Slow wired connection

Apologies for delay.

The cable is Cat.5e.

And the NIC is listed as Realtek. RTL. 8188EE. Incidentally, I've just updated the drivers for this too.
