Slow upload speeds (M350)

I'm experiencing regular (typically daily) and significant reductions in upload speed. I'm on the M350 package but upload speeds can be as low as 500kbps and generally around 1-4mbps for a number of hours at a time. This is creating particular issues with IP calls and videoconferencing. Tested on a wired gigabit connection, and across multiple devices.

I've been unable to reach VM by phone despite repeated attempts. Upload speed is generally fine.

Any suggestions?

Re: Slow upload speeds (M350)

Try a reboot to see if the Hub can renegotiate a better connection using this method ...

Switch the Hub off using the small switch on the rear of the Hub next to the power cord and pull the PSU plug from the wall socket.

Give it a good 5 minutes put the plug back in and switch the Hub back on.

Allow the Hub a few minutes to fully restart then try your connection again.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

What speed do you get at >> speedtest.net << with a direct connection using a Cat 5E/6 cable between the Hub in Router Mode and a 1Gbs capable Pc/Mac/Chromebook and no other devices connected ?

Re: Slow upload speeds (M350)

Hi stroudgreen, thanks for the message, we are sorry for the delayed reply. Have you managed to do what Mike instructed? Can you confirm if you are still having issues with the connection? I have checked the area and there doesn't appear to be any outages. Please let us know and we will be able to look in to this further for you. Chris

Re: Slow upload speeds (M350)

hi, i suspect i live very close to the original poster (i'm on stroud green road, in london) and our upload speeds have become terrible, very recently - probably in the last two or three weeks. i used to get a fixed 35mbps pretty much all the time, but now it's almost unusable at times. i'm lucky if i get 3mbps.

i'm all cabled and have reset my hub multiple times, so i really think there's a service issue.

i’d say the exact same situation happening in the exact same geographic area might be pertinent ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Re: Slow upload speeds (M350)

Are you connected to the same street cabinet ?

Are you on the same cable from the street cabinet ?

Are you on the same Hub ?
