Slow speed

Really struggling with slow speed. Less than 20 meg most days. I’m on 100 meg package. This is both WiFi and Ethernet. I reboot the rooter and it’s ok for a couple of days and then it’s down to a crawl again. Cannot find an email address to contact virgin and all phone lines busy due to covid.

What speeds do you get wired and with what cable type?

OP says 20meg wired and wifi - cable typs should not matter on 100meg

log into hub3 - 192.168.0.1 [or 192.168.100.1 if in modem mode] - DON'T SIGN IN, click - click router status [centre of screen] - and post the downstream and upstream figures - to see those press on the grey buttons/boxes labeled - upstream - downstream

if its an earlier hub button is top right

These are the stats you wanted  Ethernet cable is ok as I get 109 meg after rebooting hub  

Edit. The pictures don’t appear to have uploaded. I’ll try again.

Wired and WiFi get full speed after reboot. But then both drop to a crawl after a day or so. No difference in speed between wired and WiFi.

Thanks for you post Ecotecheating, and a very warm welcome to you!

 

I've been able to look at the stats of the hub and everything appears to be in spec. 

 

I can see that the hub has an uptime of 21 days. Can you please perform a reboot and monitor the connection.

 

If this is still a problem, please perform a pin hole reset on the hub and then go through a monitoring period again for me

Thanks for your help. I’ll reboot it again and see how it goes. If it still plays up I’ll try the pinhole reset.
