Area 28 M500 Extremely slow download normally 550 mb currently experiencing 35 mb max , Ethernet connected tried on various devices , upload speed fine and ping seems normal but download speed been slow since 0530 this morning now it’s 1100 , restarted and reset router still the same , service status shows no problems in area , help
Thanks for posting and welcome to the community. I am sorry to hear of the lower than expected speeds. I've ran a check and cannot see any issues on the system that could be causing this. Has the speed issue been fixed since posting? Let me know if you need further help.
No and according to neighbours and local Facebook group we are all experiencing slow speeds , so it’s not my equipment , I chose virgin because of the reliable speeds but this slow speed is unworkable and has been like this for 3 days and if I’m correct I’m entitled to cancel because your not supplying the slowest permissible speed , I’ve called helpline and told to reset router several times unplugged everything apart from my main pc and turned off WiFi still the same I know it’s not my set up if others in my area are having issues too my ping is same as normal and upload speed is ok it’s just download which currently according to Speedtest.net I’m getting 25mb instead of 550mb , if you where aware of issues due to whatever reasons , fine , it’s the fact your sticking your head in the sand and saying there is no problem
Are you wired directly to the hub and not via a powerline adaptor or switch etc?

Of course ! Otherwise I wouldn’t have been getting 550mb the other day , would I , Xbox one x and PS4 pro all have gigabit ports too tested on my sons gaming pc too , I’ve exhausted all avenues it’s not my equipment it’s the supply
