Slow speed yet again

I am supposed to be getting up to 200mbps broadband speed, I am actually getting between 20 to 40 mbps. .I checked my speeds through Speedcheck.net over the last 3 days and at different times even though I noticed it running slow before then. I have been through all the checks,tests,restarts, resets and re-position's and nothing has changed.

Downstream power levels are too low.  Usually an easy fix for the field technicians, and I've flagged that for a staff response.

Well the engineer came this morning, a complete waste of time, he told me the same jargon as previous engineers had said almost word for word. 2.4ghz will be slower than 5.0ghz and manufacturing are still making devices that don't do 5.0ghz so I should expect slower speeds. After a few changes and connections he told he had 216mbps on his phone. I have heard it all before so just let him get on with it. He did admit I did have a slow speed so he is going to get the cable from the Green box to my house renewed! To be seen!!!

 this is my results on my phone, the last one was after he had gone, the 3 before were when he was here.

My computer up stairs both wireless and ethernet. 2.4 and 5.0 were no different

Can you repost your Hub data so that we can see if the engineer actually did anything to the power levels.

If possible can you set up a Broadband Quality Monitor (BQM) at thinkbroadband.com - this will give you an insight into what is happening with the signal at the other side of the Hub, it will take a few hours to get any kind of trend showing although you should post the link straight away.

Please post a 'Live Link' to your BQM on here straight away.

Instructions for posting BQM Live Link

Under your BQM graph are two links in red.

Click the lower link (Share Live Graph) then click generate.

Copy the text in the Direct Link box, beware, there may be more text than you can see.

On here click the Link icon (2 links chain to the left of the camera icon)

In the URL box paste the link you copied and in the ‘text to display’ box write My BQM then click OK - you can post the link straight away.
