Slow internet

I have been having issues with internet speeds from day 1. I had an engineer out during Covid-19 and had the router upgraded, however, the service is still the same. If more than 2 people are on the internet we suffer. Working from home is a nightmare due to the amount of time some emails take to send. Downloading information can be a nightmare also. When contacted previously the response has been too many devices attached which is nonsense. I am really unhappy. Invariably I am using my phone to access internet via mobile data because my home internet connection is so poor at times. We are paying for a good service and this is unacceptable.

Is this via wireless or a wired connection?

If wireless, does a wired connection work fine?
