Slow internet speed on the Gig 1 FIbre

Have gotten the gig 1 fibre broadband just a couple of days ago everything was set up and seemed to work well was getting the advertised speeds. Yesterday however the speed of the broadband started to slow down to 100Mbps. After checking samknows it shows that the speed to the hub 4 is 95.8 mbps at the moment of testing so am assuming fault with the line and not the router itself. Any help would be appreciated. Checked the service status and everything seems to be fine as well.

Might be best to call it in. Best to ring VM on or just after 8am on 0345 454 1111 or alternatively you can wait here for a Virgin staff member to pick it up, but unfortunately this will typically be between 5-10 days, sometimes sooner, sometimes later depending on how busy they are.

In the meantime, check all the connections coming into the router are finger tight and any other connections at junction boxes coming into the property etc. Also try a full factory reset and see if that helps. Hold in the pinhole at the rear of the router for at least 50 seconds and then release (the lights will flash while holding in the pinhole reset button after about 10-15 seconds) then allow 5 minutes for the router to reboot and re-sync the connection 🙂
