Slow download speed..

  • Hi,

I very rarely get any problems with my Internet but I have noticed in the past 2 weeks or so the download speed has been really slow (I'm on the oomph package 500mb) even when it's wired it doesn't go pass 200mb... And it's even slower on WiFi.

I have tried to reboot it, changed it back to default with the pin hole reset, and via the settings page.

Here are the readings I took about 15 mins ago, Can somebody have a look and tell me what the problem might be please.

Thanks.

Re: Slow download speed..

Hi,

After sending the details Darren came back to me to tell me that it seems to be fine after doing the checks and he will check again later... I have sent some more speed tests to him via dm and it clearly states that the download speed is definitely not going past 200mbps, (average is about 170mbps to 180mbps) a week on I am still having the issues. I have had no reply back.

Can someone have a look please, this problem seems to have happend to a few people reading some of the posts.

Thanks.

Re: Slow download speed..

I am still having the same problem, and it was worse yesterday evening when the connection was really bad and it would disconnect or start to buffer whilst watching a stream.

I have just done another speed test and yet again it maxes out around 180mbps. I've copied the latest details from the hub settings below.

Re: Slow download speed..

Hi cmonuspurs,

Thanks for posting on our community forum. We understand the frustration caused when you are experiencing speed issues.

We have checked from our end here and it is showing there are no issues that should be causing this problem.

How many devices do you have connected? Are you doing the speed test on a wired or wireless connection?

Can we ask if you have performed a pin hole reset recently. This sometimes can resolve any issues with speed.

Please let me know the above so we can assist you further.

Kind regards Jodi.
