Slow broadband

I upgraded to M500 broadband before Christmas. Despite 2 Engineers visits, changing all the cables, splitter etc I still only get a maximum of 35Mbs for both download and upload. I have the H3 hub. Any suggestions on what to do next.

Re: Slow broadband

What speed do you get on https://speedtest.samknows.com/ with direct wired connection from PC/Laptop to router using a Cat 5e cable or better with a 1Gbps capable Ethernet network card?

  1. Make sure the cable is Cat 5e or better
  2. Make sure your PC/laptop has a 1Gbps or better network card
  3. Make sure Hub is NOT in modem mode
  4. Disconnect all other Ethernet cables when running the test

Re: Slow broadband

Good Afternoon @andrewwalters4

Thank you for your post.

May I ask you these questions:

  1. What devices are you running the speed tests on?
  2. What speed test sites are you using?
  3. Are you running the speed tests hardwired or WiFi?
  4. If WiFi... are you running them in the same room as the Superhub?

Thanks

Christy

Re: Slow broadband

Hi Christy,

I am running long the tests on my Samsung mobile.

Using Ookla as recommended by the Engineer.

Testing via wifi in the same room as the Superhub.

Best regards

Andrew
