Slow broadband speed upgraded to 350 still no better

Hello I know you are all having same issues, I used to be on the 100m speed but upgraded to the 350 due to a lot more use. I'm got getting the speed I payed for, I have done several speed tests, wired tests have varied from 50Mbps to 90Mbps. Wireless tests are between 120Mbps to 190Mbs. The wireless is shocking in the house it never used to be this bad, the signal used to reach all round the house, now keeps dropping out. I'll attach the router read outs below. Before people ask I have had a replacement Hub3 which has made no difference, I have switched off and reset but still no fix. I have separated the 2.4 ghz and 5ghz but doesn't make a difference at all.

I'm hoping technical will see the post and get intouch, it's a nightmare trying to get through to them.

Re: Slow broadband speed upgraded to 350 still no better

Hub stats look fine. Lets focus on wired speeds for now. Speeds around 90mbps are always suspicious. Can you run a test like this...
_________________________________________

As you expect >100Mbps then connect a 1GB enabled computer/laptop, with up to date drivers, via a known good and working Cat5e (or better) ethernet cable, directly to the Hub which you have put into “modem mode” (see VM website for “How To”). Test at speedtest.net (not using their App!) to your nearest VM server - try on 2 different browsers.

If they are still low – boot the device into windows safe+networking mode and try again.

There are many posts on here where unknown/flaky software, old network card drivers, corrupted browsers, bad cables or other connected devices are limiting speeds on tests.

Report back what that gets

Re: Slow broadband speed upgraded to 350 still no better

I'm getting speed around the same on  350mbit.

Started a few days ago. It went down to 17mbit down and 1.2 up. Called support, went through the usual reset of the modem and all was sorted for a few hours.  Now today...slow download of 90 ish mbit bit upload is perfectly fine. All wired connection.  They are sending and engineer out.

In the LE10 area btw

Re: Slow broadband speed upgraded to 350 still no better

I have carried out the modem mode test as you requested, the laptop i'm using is up to date and only a few months old. I hard wire to hub and carried out test which come back very similar.

Re: Slow broadband speed upgraded to 350 still no better

Are they in safe + networking mode? Wu=ith the Hub in modem mode.?

That will disable all other devices and any software on the laptop that could be throttling speeds.

I have a list or ~30 threads where non VM related issues are causing this - here is one of the latest - see message 6 & 8
