Slow and wobbly upload causing latency issues

Hi all,

Hope i can get some help here, I am not that technical so please go easy on me.

Having an issue with my connection speed, its hard to explain as when I do a speed test I get around 200mb download but the upload is all over the place

It will hover at 1 to 1.5 mbs for most of the test, sometimes in the last second of the test it will accelerate rapidly up past 10 mbs but this is maybe 1 or 2 times out of 10

Its causing weird latency issues in the remote desktop connection I am using to work from home at the moment (thanks covid)

I am not sure what info is needed so I will put up everything I guess may be relevant

Thank you in advance for any help

Re: Slow and wobbly upload causing latency issues

Your Downstream Power Levels are far, far too low and your Upstream Power Levels are are right on the max.

You need an engineer to put things right.

You can either phone in (08:00 is the best time) or wait on here for a few days until one of the VM Forum Staff comes along.

Re: Slow and wobbly upload causing latency issues

Its working a lot better this afternoon, I have not been with Virgin long and wonder if the bad weather (wind and rain) here this morning could have been a cause some how

Re: Slow and wobbly upload causing latency issues

Issue is back again today - under 0.2mbs upload causing me to get kicked off my work phone software....

I know it must be irritating keep bumping this thread but I really would like someone from virgin to take a look now and having tried phoning today and just being told to restart and reset my hub I am getting a bit frustrated

Bumping your post puts it lower down the 'VM Reply' to list.
