Slow and intermittent Download Speed

On to my second superhub 3, I'm on M200 using an Ethernet cat 6 cable to my imac and the speeds are slow and intermittent CONSTANTLY, sometimes as low as 35. Was advised that my computer must be faulty!!!! Anyone any ideas????

Wired direct to the hub or via a switch or powerline plug?

The Hub is wired direct to my imac with a ethernet CAT 6 cable provided by Virgin

What does other devices have to do with the speed direct in to my computer ?

Because if other devices are using bandwidth then you won't see the full speed.

To ascertain where the issue lies - for example with the hub or one specific device.

In addition to the direct ethernet in to the computer, on WIFI we have 3 mobile phones, a Mac laptop, 3 smart TV's  and a tablet but these are not all operating at the same time.

Are you able to disconnect all other devices from your connection and run the speed test on the one wired connection?
