I have 500mb package and have always had blazingly fast speeds up until the last week. I am now only getting 45-48mb which is not suitable for my household and everything is running slow. Have rebooted router, checked all the settings and still 45-48mb.
Is there a reason for this? It must be a speed issue as the upload speed is faster than the download speed.
Can anyone please advise from the Virgin Team as am not very happy customer at present.
As well as trying the “check service,” Area status webpage" (link at top right of this forum), also try the “free & automated” Service Status number - 0800 561 0061 - which usually gives the most up to date info. and tells you of more local issues down to postcode level.
Are the slower speeds on ethernet cable connected devices as well as wif ones?

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired 2 WiFi,) SH2 in modem mode with Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's. On VIVID200, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.
