Shocking Gig1 speeds

Hey,

I've been having speed/latency issues for over 24 hours now (and counting).

I'm on Gig1 but I'm lucky to get 90Mbps. Every few minutes latency spikes to over 350ms and I get webpage errors, disconnects. This is highly frustrating as I work from home and my work VPN is constantly reconnecting, affecting my productivity levels.

I'd check the RealSpeed website, but it says my network isn't supported (my device is ethernet connected to a Hub 4 I think). Cable to the router is a gigabit cable.

I've checked the broadband help page, it says there are no known issues in my area, but when I run a diagnostics check it says, yes - there are issues in my area but the area issue never updates and I've no idea whether it's just me or not.

Here's a quick speed test from samknows:

Check for a local service issue : 0800  561 0061.

Check the network connection between your computer / switch / Hub to make sure they are all at 1000Mb/s.
