Regular internet drops and occasional speed issues

For the last month or so, I've been getting regular internet dropouts during the day, around once or twice a day, for a few minutes each time. In the past it seemed like big downloads can trigger it reliably. Additionally, sometime around 00:30 the internet drops every night.

The drop usually causes me to lose internet, then my PC disconnects from WiFi, and when I reconnect to the network it takes a few minutes until it gets internet again. While this happens the hub has the usual white light at the front, so it doesn't look like it's restarting.

Additionally, I seem to be getting unreliable speeds, between 10 and 100 mpbs (on a 100 connection). I haven't spotted any patterns with it yet.

This is all after I had a technician swap my hub and check the whole span of my connection very recently, so WiFi and cables should not be an issue.

Re: Regular internet drops and occasional speed issues

What are wired device connections and speeds like?

Wifi is not covered under the speed guarantee so not much can be done other than getting your own (better) equipment to extend and optimise your WiFi.

Re: Regular internet drops and occasional speed issues

Since I can get good speeds on wifi at times (just checked and got the full 100 at this moment), so wifi strength is not the issue.
The bigger issue are the regular dropouts, which to my understanding would not be wifi related, since I can still connect to the network at those times, I just get no internet.

I can't test wired connections without buying some adapters, and having a wired connection for my day-to-day work isn't possible due to the layout of my flat.

Re: Regular internet drops and occasional speed issues

Then it’s impossible to ascertain if it is just a WiFi issue or a connection issue as a whole.

Post the Network, Upstream and Downstream logs from the hub admin page

Re: Regular internet drops and occasional speed issues

There’s some noise on some of the downstream channels shown by the Post-RS count - when was the hub last rebooted?

Re: Regular internet drops and occasional speed issues

Might have been a week or two since the last reboot. In the past it hasn't helped any issues, but I can try again.
I'd hope that I don't have to reboot this thing every few days 😕

Re: Regular internet drops and occasional speed issues

Reboot then post the same logs in a minimum of 1 hours time to see what the Pre and Post RS numbers show

Re: Regular internet drops and occasional speed issues

Posting only the network and downstream logs to save some time, lmk in case the other ones are also needed. They look pretty much the same as last time though.
