Re: New 500mb line installed. download speeds 150mb wired connection, 6mb with wireless

I have a similar issue. Last Thursday I upgraded from M350 to M500. I was constantly getting speeds 300 - 362mbps prior to the upgrade.

Immediately after the upgrade my speed dropped to 140- 250. Despite daily phone calls and an engineer visit, Hub3 swap out, I am still in the same boat - lower speeds than before the upgrade.

Now VM say the only thing I can do is raise an Ofcom complaint which means they will monitor my line for 30 days - how will that improve my service if VM themselves cannot???

Modem status states the following

Low speed after upgrade

always better to start your own thread - adding to an existing one confuses things

levels you have posted look ok - post the second page from the download and the network log

am surprised at the comment from VM - who was that - offshore - they are as useless as chocolate teapots - they got rid of you and the call will have been marked solved which it is not

ow are you testing the speed - wired or by wifi always test wired - if you are testing wired try a test with the hub in modem mode

have you reset the hub - thats never a waste of time - if you do it will set everything back to default so you will need to set it up again if you had changed anything

regardless you want to turn off smart wifi and split the wifi bands
