Re: Hub 4 / Gig1 Initial Impressions

I have also had Gig1 for a few weeks now

Coming from a consistent 350/35 connection for the last few years

My initial tests with the Hub4 in Router mode and some samknows tests were 1100/53 and Ping has been consistent at this address between 17 and 21

It was a shame the SH4 only has 1G ports when combined throughput is capable of 1130 down, a Multi gig port would have been perfect

After shifting it over to Modem Mode, I am getting consistently 940 - 950 down and 53-55 up

At the same time, I would like a higher upload speed

Re: Hub 4 / Gig1 Initial Impressions

If you've got a good enough router behind your Superhub 4 you can use link aggregation to increase your download speed by connecting several ports at once. I've currently got all 4 ports bonded while in modem mode, although it does work perfectly well over two. The router in question needs to support round robin bonding for this to work, as far as I know, not just static link aggregation. This is only usually present on business-class devices. Once you get this working, though, it's possible to achieve the full WAN-side speed on your local PC using a multi-gig network card:
