Random loss of connection

My connection keeps dropping out this afternoon. I get nothing then after 5 minutes it comes back but I can not reach my virgin page or https://my.virginmedia.com/service-status/results  to see if anything is happening in the area. I have rebooted the hub once but its went again while playing a game.

Watching someone in states streaming atm and other uk virgin uses experiencing the same loss.

There was a country wide or rather large outage at least twice today 17:30 and 18:20. Down detector reported it, and I got kicked off a Skype call for work.

HUB 3.0 not flashing so thought it was network side as was still connected to downstreams.
