Poor speed (Hub 3, MK42)

I woke up without Internet this morning, and got service back after restarting the Hub, but am only seeing speeds of 80-100Mbps down and, more painfully, around 2Mbps up. Tested with a wired connection directly to the hub. I'm on the M350 package and normally see 350+ down and 35+ up.

The Post-RS error rate does seem high as I understand it.

Thanks for posting, and sorry to hear you've had some issues with your connection. 

 

I've been able to locate your account using your forum details, and everything looks to be within the specifications we would expect.

HI, ive had three years of this, Ive just posted, mine was the cabinet, major ingress of water into the cables.

You should reboot the Hub so the counters are zeroed.  Keep an eye on the PostRS errors, ideally there should be none.  If the numbers increase quickly after the reboot, there is an issue in the circuit despite what VM have advised.

Check all the connections from the Hub to outside are "finger" tight, as loose connections can cause noise ingress.

You power levels look okay at present.  Also setup a BQM here  www.thinkbroadband.com/ping

Once setup post a link to the shared graph for comment.

Thanks for checking Alex_RM, and sorry for the slow reply. Over the course of a few hours things began to speed back up until they were back to normal and have been fine since.
