Re: Poor Speed in both Wifi and Ethernet - Hub 4 and 1GB sub

Is that using the deco system or hub wifi?

If I've helped let me know 🙂

That's using the Deco system with the Hub in modem mode.

Re: Poor Speed in both Wifi and Ethernet - Hub 4 and 1GB sub

I've found the problem, the Deco system your using has a 100mbps limit on the Ethernet ports, so unfortunately I would return them in exchange for a different model.

Ah ok, so if I take the Hub off of modem mode and use the Deco system purely as wifi extenders the speed should go up?

Yes, I also recommend trying to get your desktop connected using a Cat6/6a cable to give you that added performance.

Re: Poor Speed in both Wifi and Ethernet - Hub 4 and 1GB sub

Thanks for your help Mark, much appreciated. Looks like I'll have to buy the Deco with the 1GB ethernet connection, then link up the E4s.

Re: Poor Speed in both Wifi and Ethernet - Hub 4 and 1GB sub

Yeah, are you not able to return the E4's then, the one you would be looking for would be the M4 to match your current pair or maybe buy one with a big more grunt in it as the main router (to handle the 1Gb) and then pair the E4's.

This is the recommended one https://www.tp-link.com/uk/home-networking/deco/deco-m5/v2%20(1-pack)/

Can be brought here https://www.amazon.co.uk/Deco-M5-Coverage-Replacement-Antivirus-white/dp/B073XQ3YND/ref=sr_1_4?dchil...
