My name is NOT Alessandro. That's just a tag Virginmedia sticks on some contributors. Please ignore it.

That is what I was told when I phoned the 0345 number, honestly I laughed at the person who told me this. I've heard some lame excuses from Virgin but this one takes the biscuit. Sending me a NEW power supply , when in fact they should be sending me an engineer.

Would you like to say what the problem is?  I'm sure someone here could help.

I've had another thread on this...helpful but no positive answers.  I have an intermittent connection, it works, it stops, its fast its slow, NO upload speed, log file on Hub is critical, warning, error .....speedtest shows 55 mbs then 600, internet just locks up . red light on HUB...no one at Virgin seems to be able to help.

A constant red LED is the overheating warning.  VM should replace the Hub as it could be a fire risk.  With that in mind, no point in further investigations until you get a replacement Hub.  Best to ring VM for this, or wait a day or two for a VM Mod to pick this up.
