Not hitting the minimum guaranteed speed on m350.

Evening All,

I am a new customer who is paying for m350. Following the onsite suggested help the download speed I get is 83mbps.

I am using 2x Cat7 cables through a powerlink adaptor.

I have resetted my router and have had no luck.

Any suggestions would be great!

Re: Not hitting the minimum guaranteed speed on m350.

Couple of questions ...

Does the device you are testing with have a capable 1Gbs Network Interface Card (NIC) ?

Can you test without the powerlink (powerline?) adaptors in the system?

I must admit my knowledge of Network stuff is pretty terrible.

I wouldn't know if my NIC is capable:

8Mbs is indicative of a slow NIC.

Looking at the info you posted yours is 100/100.

Have a look in the NIC settings to see if you can change the speed to 100/1000.

Re: Not hitting the minimum guaranteed speed on m350.

My PC runs on Windows 10.

I've looked around online and it suggests:

1) Network Settings -> Ethernet

2) Change Adapter options

3) Right click and properties

4) Configure and then Advanced.

5) Speed and Duplex and change the value to 1.0 Gbps Full Duplex.

Although when I do this my internet disables itself.

Re: Not hitting the minimum guaranteed speed on m350.

Set it to 1.0Gbps then OK your way out then reboot your PC.

Re: Not hitting the minimum guaranteed speed on m350.

Unfortunately that still left with me no internet and I had to restart it to Auto Negotiation.

Re: Not hitting the minimum guaranteed speed on m350.

I should have asked this first ...

Have you checked the 'Check Service Status' at the top of the page?

If nothing is showing try phoning 0800 561 0061, this will tell you of more local issues that may not be affecting the area. Be aware that it isn't a manned

.........................................................................

Type 192.168.0.1 (192.168.100.1 in Modem mode ) into your browser URL bar and press enter.  When the page appears DO NOT LOG IN but click ‘Check Router Status’. Copy and paste the contents of each tab onto here, a Guru will be along soon to decipher the info.
