Not hitting speed

Having issues with speed. Had M500 for a few weeks now and it’s never gotten up to 500mbs, not even when near the router. Today it is struggling to get to 200. I’ve checked my router status as per your guide and copy and pasted the details;

ItemStatusCommentsAcquired Downstream Channel (Hz)
187000000
Locked
Ranged Upstream Channel (Hz)
25800108

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Not hitting speed

Is the speed being checked over a wired connection?

Re: Not hitting speed

Hi KBuley,

I may be wrong, but to me looking at the figures you posted, you haven't got the M500 configuration.

These pictures show how M500 looks in my settings.router status.jpgstatus.jpg

Re: Not hitting speed

It's very unlikely you'll see 500Mbps over wireless.

Having said that if your HUB isn't showing 500Mbps in your configuration tab you won't see the speed regardless!

What does your online account show as the package signed up for?

Re: Not hitting speed

I can't see the image you posted.

Can you copy paste the HUB configuration tab as text (Literally highlight copy, then paste).

Re: Not hitting speed

You are, in fact, on 500Mbps!

As I said earlier you will probably never see full speed on wireless devices.

I'm on 350Mbps and on an iPad a couple of feet from the HUB I got 300Mbps.

Six - eight feet away I got 220Mbps.

You are seeing hardware, not broadband speed, limitations.
