Not getting 1Gig

Hi

I am paying for a 1gig broadband connection. My speed is currently 186.0 Mbps using the Virgin Media Speed Test tool. I have connected directly to the router via cable not WiFi. The router has been reset/turned off and on again.

Is my connection being throttled?

How can I log this as an issue with Virgin Media? Is there a web link to log a support ticket?

Reinstall your PC

or boot PC in safe mode with networking to do a speed test

Speedtest by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test

Go to the SamKnows Speed test website, it tests the hub and your device so that you can see if it's a external network issue (i.e. VM) or it's your equipment

is it working for people?? doesn't work for me atm >.<

Sorry to hear of the slow speeds you've currently been experiencing.

Can you please confirm if you've been able to follow the advise issued to you on this thread?

Is there still a slower than expected speed being experienced?
