I'm in area 30 and my online account says I should have 104 upload but I'm still stuck at 52 and I have rebooted a few times.. So whats going on Virgin?

Up to speed

Had my engineer visit this weekend but, of course, he couldn't improve the upload speed. He did confirm that my signal levels definitely weren't the issue, as expected. Clearly a provisioning change, which perhaps front-line support just don't know anything about.

@Megan_L Please tell me if my area, area 20 has been "upgraded" as I received my email saying my upload speed had been booted (sic) on the 2nd June 2023 and yet the best I have achieved, ever is 75Mbps, my average is 59Mbps and over the weekend my speed dropped to 43Mbps, which is below that I had before the so called boost!

@IllLustration Good to hear that support is willing to waste the time of an engineer to confirm that it is a network provisioning issue over which he has no control. Would you be willing to post your signal levels here?

Superfast

I was on 110 but was re-provisioned to 55. Still awaiting the profile change to 110. This is clearly not a network fault and not something an engineer can do but a provisioning fault which appears to be intentional. I don't know if the support staff are just not aware or don't understand or they are being told to misdirect and misinform people instead.

I suggest the former, I think any form deception, other than accidental, by VM would take more skill than VM have proved capable of.😂🤣😂

Tuning in

After my last post I've been contacted by the mod team and been told the infrastructure in my area (20) hasn't been upgraded yet with no time frame for when it will be done.

I am in area 20 as well and I think VM owe us money for non-performance. My email of the 2/6/23 says "*We estimate that at peak times, the upload speed to the Virgin Media Hub, if you have Gig1 Fibre Broadband, will increase to 104Mbps. Download speeds will range between 565Mbps and 1072Mbps." note the "will increase to 104Mbps" no range given just a single value. Time to pay up VM!
