New to Virgin media - Oomph speeds terrible, regretting my decision!!!

installed on the 18th, been monitoring my speeds daily , of the many many speed tests i have done i have had 2 or 3 get up to 400mbps, but every other test doesnt get over 100mbps. Ive tried many devices wired or wireless  and its the same connected straight to the Hub.

Had the displeasure of speaking with one of the tech's from singapore (im guessing) his english wasnt great. Very scripted and tried to teach me how wifi works! solved nothing except agreed to send out wifi boosters even though i have no need for them.

I'd say do it. I joined them once - had a stroke and by the time I got home I was over the 28 days and had to suck it up. Do it while you can! - They don't generate a bill for a month for this reason I am sure of it.

Thanks for posting and welcome to our community 🙂

 

Sorry to hear you're experiencing some slow speeds.

 

Had a look from here and your hub is within the specifications we would expect and it's not detecting any issues with the WiFi.

 

Can you confirm the devices you're using have a Gigabit NIC? Are you using a Cat6 cable when testing an Ethernet connection?
