New Hub4 in Modem mode to To link wireless- slow speed

Just installed Hub 4, 1 GiG but even after several reboots I only get in the region of 500, is this normal, am I the only one ?

I moved from 350meg and I was getting a constant 360/370 with no problems.

Can anyone help please, it could well be operator error 😃

Check here to see if it's a VM issue or if it's just your setup/expectations that's wrong.

Re: New Hub4 in Modem mode to To link wireless- slow speed

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me.

When I click the link you have provided, I get the message " No router found"

Could this be that I am using the TP_ Link router instead of the Hub4?

Correct. The Hub 4 needs to be in Router Mode.

Re: New Hub4 in Modem mode to To link wireless- slow speed

Good morning,

I have now switched the Hub4 into router mode and run ethernet cable straight to my Mac. It is better, in the region of 600/700 meg and about 450/500 wireless.

This is the test after leaving the Hub4 in router mode and using the TP Link as a wireless exterder.

It seems that I am getting the speeds into the house, perhaps the TP Link isn't helping much. Do you think I would be better just putting another 1000/ 8 port switch in its place?

Thank you for all your advice/help and 600/700 is still good although nearer to 500 than 1000 lol.

Thanks again 👍
