New 1GBPS only delivering under 100mpbs

After upgrading from the M350 which i was receiving similar speeds of 100 mbps - the 1GBps is showing same speeds - very little help from Tech Support who don't understand half the time and only go through scripts.

That means it's likely your setup that is the bottleneck not the feed from Virgin. 

 

Can you explain your own setup?

Try another ethernet cable or PC? Do you have a flagship smartphone you can test using Sam knows?

That means your fault is your PC or ethernet cable

The PC's network adapter might be only 100Mbps. It should be 1Gbps, here's mine.

You can also check the 'Connected devices' section once you login to your router/HUB to see the 'Speed (Mbps)' (Below is an image I used from a previous thread):
