My Hub 3 seems to reboot every day and speeds drop constantly

Hi there,

 

I'm starting to wonder if I need an engineer or if my Hub 3 needs replacing?

Every day it seems to be rebooting by itself so i lose internet randomly and also i just did a speedtest and had 0.4 mbps upload speed.  My speeds seems to constantly be dropping at random times throughout the day both upload and download.

 

Please can somebody help me.

Thank you for the post Pkb18.

 

Could we please confirm if you've already run through a pin hole reset of your Hub? When doing so it may help to check all the cables running into the back of the Hub are all connected securely.

Hi Emily, 

Yes I have done a reset. No change. 

Today there was an area problem so it was down for a long time, but this has been happening for weeks. 

Do you have any advice for the next time it goes down that can help you resolve the problem?

Cheers for replying, pjb18,

 

Is the rebooting still occurring? The reboots can happen for a few reasons mainly due to the hub's attempt at re-establishing a connection to the network. Taking the hub offline [switch off] and waiting 5 minutes before reconnecting will stop the reboots
