M600 Extremely slow speed & intermittent internet connections

Since about 5:30pm yesterday evening (7th Nov), my internet has been horrendous.  I'm on M600, use the Hub 3 in modem mode with Google Wifi.

At 5:30 speed became incredibly slow and from about 11pm till 7:30am today there was non stop internet connection drops.   Speed has slowly increased throughout the day today, but it's still awful.  It was literally in Kbps until about 1pm today.

There's no general services issues on the website or via telephone for my postcode.  Though several times this morning the service check did indicate there was an issue, but there was no option appearing to arrange an engineer visit and after nearly 2 hours on hold on the phone I gave up.

This following speeds are with my laptop directly connected to the router.

Re: M600 Extremely slow speed & intermittent internet connections

Hi Azza,

Thank you for posting to the Community.

I am sorry to hear you experienced a drop in speed on Saturday / Sunday.

You mentioned the speeds were starting to increase through the day, how are they now please?

If you are experiencing further issues, can you please provide a speed test for both wired and wireless connections so that we can take a look.

Thank you

Nat

Re: M600 Extremely slow speed & intermittent internet connections

Thanks for the reply Nat.

By increase I mean only slightly nothing massive.   Not seen it above 30Mbps

This is wired currently.

Re: M600 Extremely slow speed & intermittent internet connections

You are lucky that you have got any kind of connection.

You have one Downstream Channel- you should have 32.

You have one Upstream Channel - you should have 4.

This will need an engineer to put right.

You can either call in (08:00 is the best time) or wait on here for a few days (6 to 7 days average) until one of the VM Forum Staff comes along.

If you wait on here Do Not bump the thread it will put it further down the VM 'to do list'.

Re: M600 Extremely slow speed & intermittent internet connections

Thank you for the update Azza.

As @MikeRobbo has stated, we will need to get a technician to visit your property and investigate further.

I am having a little trouble locating your account via the community so I am just going to pop you over a quick private message to grab some further details.

This will be available via the purple envelope on the top right of this page.

Thank you

Nat
