M500 with upload speed of 1-3Mb/s and 32 qam Upstream bonded channels

Hi

Since around 4:30pm today I'm getting very slow upload speed reported by Speedtest by Ookla (1-3Mb/s).

My www.thinkbroadband.com monitor shows a massive amount of packet drop since 4:30 pm today.

https://www.thinkbroadband.com/broadband/monitoring/quality/share/393f2a3cc3b59b912b1cd208b28cb84d54...

I've done the obvious of rebooting router etc.

The upstream have gone back to 64 qam and speed is fine now (other than occasional high latency)... I'll keep an eye on it and see.

Regardless of the 'fix' set up a BQM and leave it running, it won't impact on your speeds or connection in any way.

Set up a Broadband Quality Monitor (BQM) at thinkbroadband.com - this will give you an insight into what is happening with the signal at the other side of the Hub.

Re: M500 with upload speed of 1-3Mb/s and 32 qam Upstream bonded channels

yes... I've had it running for a year or so.

I've just ordered the 1 gig / Gig1 service, so let's see if throwing more money at it and a new router helps 🙂

In modem mode it's quite solid, from my usage anyway.
