Hi, recently upgraded to M200 from sky and I am not getting anywhere near the 213 Mbps speed advertised. I have run a few speed tests for the last 2 or 3 days, and I haven't gotten above 40 Mbps download speed, averaging around 35 Mbps, but the upload speed is as advertised, 20 Mpbs. I have got ethernet connected using a TP-Link TL-PA4010 powerline adapter since I can't connect my pc to my router directly. I have tried a bunch of stuff to try to increase the speed but nothing has helped. Does anyone know what possibly could be the issue?

Yes. The speed will almost certainly be due to the powerline connection. As a test, take a device temporarily to the Hub and connect it directly with an ethernet cable. See what speed you get then.

I did this with my mum's laptop, and I only managed to get a maximum speed of 80 Mbps, using a cat 6 ethernet cable. With my previous isp, I was able to get speeds of 65 Mpbs on my pc using the powerline connection, which was exactly the speed advertised so I am not sure why this one is much slower

If you can't get the full speed with a direct connection to the Hub then the next step is to check the incoming broadband. Set your browser to 192.168.0.1, copy and paste here as text, not screenshot, the downstream, upstream and log data.

Hey nath29, thank you for reaching out and I am sorry you are having some speed issues.
As mentioned, we don't guarantee our equipment to work with 3rd party kit.
We also only measure the speed at the hub/wired speed tests, please can you try the above on what has been suggested and it don't improve it please reach back out. Thanks

Hey sorry for the late reply, but you were initially right, it was the powerline connection slowing me down. I made a few changes and managed to get an average of 100 Mbps down speed, which is obviously still not as fast as it should be but I cannot satisfy the ideal environment for a powerline connection, so I will have to make do with what I have for now until I can make some changes. Thanks for the help!

That's a reasonable speed for a powerline. Glad you got it sorted.
