M200 slow speed

I signed up to m200 ignorantly expecting to get 200meg speeds as advertised. I'm only getting 70 when i connect my laptop to the hub 3 with a cat5e cable and with it being the only thing connected and yes it has a gigabit port. Before i spend hours talking to someone in the arse end of knowwhere, that's not likely to be able to help me anyway, from customer services i thought i would have an ask on here if there are any things i can try to get nearer the 200 or have i been to ignorant and am never gonna get close.

I'm not that computer savy but i can usually find my way around when i need to so any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: M200 slow speed

Test on a known "good" ethernet cable (Cat5e/6) connected to a GB enabled computer/laptop, with up to date drivers with the Hub in modem mode. Test at speedtest.net to your nearest VM server - try 2 different browsers.
If they are still low – boot the device into safe+networking mode and try again.
There are many posts on here where unknown software, corrupted browsers or other connected devices are limiting speeds on tests.
Report back what that gets.

Re: M200 slow speed

Could you access your router using http://192.168.0.1/ . Don't log in, select the 'Check Router Status' option and paste your 'Downstream', 'Upstream', and 'Network Log' tabs?

We can see if there is anything in the router stats that point to a localised problem.

Will do in the morning. Thanks.

I'll also get a new cable and test again.

Re: M200 slow speed

Hi, i can't see the check router status tab,

I gave me no other option than to sign in. It just asked for the preferred language and then the password on the bottom of the router. No tabs on the page at all?

Re: M200 slow speed

Just logged out and tried again and it has come up with a different login page with the router status tab 🤦‍♂️. I'll do it now.

Re: M200 slow speed

Can you post everything in the Downstream tab please?

That's only half the data posted
