M200 slow B B speed only getting 20 for up & down

Have Virgin 200 Broadband fibre but only getting around 20 up & down speeds, have gone through everything suggested online with no diff, and when I check for my area it says no problem but then when I check into it more it says,

Network issue
We have detected an issue that maybe affecting your broadband service

It then asks me to check the normal things, disconnect, reconnect etc etc but makes no diff, ?

how do I report this area 25 issue to get this sorted as not prepared to keep paying for this with much much slower speeds than I should get.

Thanks

Hi, wireless, I have just uninstalled and then installed the Dual band network adaptor and that has increased it to ping 17, 87 download and 21 upload but still well below the 200

Re: M200 slow B B speed only getting 20 for up & down

If you think that you have a BB speed problem, then to check the speeds coming in to your Hub properly, and whether they match what you should be getting, you cannot rely on wifi tests, - no BB supplier guarantees those - only speeds "TO" the Hub are guaranteed. So, you need to test speeds directly.... that's on an ethernet cable (Cat5e/6) connected to a GB enabled computer/laptop, with up to date drivers with the Hub in modem mode. Test at speedtest.net to your nearest VM server - try 2 different browsers.

If they are still low – boot the device into safe+networking mode and try again.
There are many posts on here where unknown software, corrupted browsers or other connected devices are limiting speeds on tests.

Report back what that gets.
