Lower than expected

Have been on 100M package for ages and regularly got 40-50Mbps down and 8-10 up, but thought nothing of it.

Just upgraded to 350M and the download speed simply didn't change.  🤔

Looked at logs and it appears the hub has taken the 350M config change, so I'm looking deeper.

Recently rebooted router with a tested (on WiFi and wired) speeds of only 40Mbps down and 7.5Mbsp up.

I've looked at the logs, but a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, so I'm asking here.

Here are the logs...

Thanks...

Re: Lower than expected

if you were never getting the max speed then an upgrade will not change that.

Are you using wireless? What speed do you get wired with a gigabit connection

Re: Lower than expected

Your downstream power levels are too high on five channels, and the rest are all pushing towards the maximum of +10 dBmV.  That might be what's caussing low speeds, and it will need a technician visit to fix.

If you hold on here the forum staff will pick up your post and can arrange for a visit to be booked.

Re: Lower than expected

Just a bump to get it noticed by the VM team. 🙂

Hopefully and engineer visit(?) will help me get more speed.

Re: Lower than expected

Hi notty72,

Thanks for your post and welcome 🙂

I'm sorry you're having problems with your broadband speeds.

I've had a look at your services and I can see there are a few issues with your signal levels that will need a technician visit to fix.

I've booked you the next available slot that we have so we can get this fixed as soon as possible. You can see the details on your online account and re-arrange it if needed.

Thanks

Melissa
