My Super Hub 3 is a Arris VMDG505 / TG2492LG-VM.

According to some website, this is a bad Router, as the.... 'Intel’s Puma 6 chipset included in several cable modems is defective as it allows high spikes in network latency quite often (slow web page loading, for example). These severe network latency spikes interfere with online gaming, streaming video, or simply surfing the web. Network jitter (variable latency) also causes problems.' - please see website link - https://approvedmodemlist.com/intel-puma-6-modem-list-chipset-defects/

Therefore, IF the Router is inherently defective, is it not wiser and more effective to provide the SuperHub 4 or SuperHub 5 ?

I am tired of having to constantly monitor it and report issues..... I just want it to work as it should and have a peaceful life.

Hello javedsaleem

I have just checked a few things from here

And I can see we have a Service Technician booked to come out

Can you please let us know how the visit goes

Gareth_L

Hi

I rescheduled the appt to tomorrow as it's getting worse.

Can you do your best, to ensure that the Engineer has tools and knowledge to be able to resolve this problem, once and for all.

Previous guys have been good....Michal in particular.

Just some thoughts on what it may be:-

1) someone may have altered our connection in the Road Box

2) our the wiring is old....from days if ntl, however I doubt this is the issue

3) perhaps change to Hub 4 or 5

4) or maybe, it's an issue we just use have to live with.....but that should not be the case

No problem @javedsaleem,

It is unlikely that we would swap it for a Hub 5 as they are currently sent to a select few customers only.

Let us know how the service is once your appointment has been completed and if you need any further assistance.

Thanks and take care,

Kain
