Low gig 1 speeds

Ordered the new gig 1 package and got it yesterday, but ever since I've had it I've had nothing but issues with my speed.

I'm not even reaching anywhere near 1 Gbps speeds. I get around 300-400 at most.

I am also connected to the hub via an ethernet cable.

Bit annoyed tbh, because I didn't upgrade just to get near enough the same speeds as my last package (M350)

Re: Low gig 1 speeds

What speed do you get at >> Sam Knows Real Speed << with a direct connection using a Cat 5E/6 cable between the Hub in Router Mode and a 1Gbs capable Pc/Mac/Chromebook and no other devices connected ?

Re: Low gig 1 speeds

on SamKnows I get full speeds to the hub. Yet when I use any other speedtest website (Fast.com, speedtest.net) etc..I get around 300-400. Then it'll skyrocket to about 800 and vice versa.

When I download games I only average about 30-40 Mb/s when I should be reaching 100+ Mb/s

My connection is very unstable atm and idk why.

So although it shows I have 1000 Mbps on SamKnows, I don't actually get them speeds when downloading games which should be around (117.5 Mb/s)

Re: Low gig 1 speeds

Are you using Wi-Fi or ethernet cable connection while doing the downloads that you mentioned ?

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Can you set up a Broadband Quality Monitor (BQM) at thinkbroadband.com - this will give you an insight into what is happening with the signal at the other side of the Hub, it will take a few hours to get any kind of trend showing although you should post the link straight away.

Post a link to your BQM on here.

Instructions for posting BQM Link

Under your BQM graph are two links in red.

Click the lower link (Share Live Graph) then click generate.

Copy the text in the Direct Link box, beware, there may be more text than you can see.

On here click the Link icon (2 links chain to the left of the camera icon)

In the URL box paste the link you copied and in the ‘text to display’ box write My BQM then click OK - you can post the link straight away.

Re: Low gig 1 speeds

I am connected via Cat 6 Ethernet Cable directly into the Hub 4.

This is My BQM
