Just got gig 1 - volt

Install went OK swapping out my hub 3 (new install last week M500) for 4 but seeing some bizarre speedtest results.  I'm trying to work out if its the server that's slow or me.  Sometimes 915, highest ive seen, sometimes 600.   I can seem to pretty much max out the link on some occasions.   I am on a decent network cable in modem mode.  iperf achieves a locked 940mbps locally on the lan.    Unfortunately I've no idea how to read the logs yet (im new to virgin also) so if anyone would be so kind to advise.

All the power levels etc. look spot on, except the US power levels are too low.  They should be above 34 and lower than 51.

Can you setup and share a live link to a BQM please, see www.thinkbroadband.com/ping

Be aware my upload is maxed (6.4 megabytes a second flat line) right now, and will be for some hours, as my computer has backed up and its uploading to cloud.   1 gig with 52mbps upload, pfft!

Be aware my upstream is maxed right now (6.4 megabytes per second flat line) and will be for some hours due to computer backup to cloud.  1 gig with 52mbps upload aint cutting it!

Hi @Resonate

Thanks for posting - you do need a tech as your upstream channels are all out of spec.

I shall send you a PM now to confirm some details and get this booked in

Best

Hi @Resonate

Thanks for joining me on PM. Just to update the thread, the engineer visit was booked in. This can be tracked, cancelled or amended in your online account - virg.in/myVM

There will be no charge for this visit unless:
• The technician diagnoses the faults as not being caused by our network/equipment
• The technician discovers that the fault or problem relates to your equipment
• The technician discovers that the fault or problem relates to any system that we are not responsible for
The technician will confirm during their visit if any of these instances apply, and if so, a £25 charge will be applied to your account.
Please ensure there is someone over the age of 18 present at the time of the visit. If you need to change or cancel your appointment you can do this online or via the MyVM app by 4pm the day before the appointment.
If you do miss an agreed appointment for any reason, a £25 missed appointment charge will be applied to your account on the day of the appointment
