Is it normal for download speeds to drop?

On our wavelength

I am wondering whether it is normal for download speeds to drop on occasion. Please have a look at the screenshot of speed tests from my router.

I am on the Volt M600 plan and I recently had the cable outside my property replaced.

How durable should the connected be to speed drop offs?

Hi there @barcode00, welcome back to the forum and thanks for your post.

Speeds can vary from time to time and can be affected by many things such as being on a wired or wireless connection, the amount of devices connected at the same time etc.

When you have ran these tests what connection were they run on?

Regards

Nathan

VM overprovisons broadband so your downloads speeds should be higher than advertised when measured with an Ethernet cable. There will be variations but they should be small, so anything big out of the ordinary indicates a problem.
