Same here when we they installed it it was 107Mbps lucky to get 50 but the quality is bad dropping out all the time and literally we have a smart TV 8 feet away it keeps dropping connection yet when I connect my work cellular router in the kitchen (with a block wall between them) it stays connected and is as good as gold!?!?!? I had a BT engineer on a job a few days ago he mentioned that most providers throttle the connections to push you to upgrade it will show high speed but the quality and amount of data is poor?! I also spoke with Virgin about this and told them and low and behold it was as good as gold for at least 6-7 weeks after they had the “top” technical guy look at it remotely
Trust me its the worst feeling ever when theres cheaper providers out there that offer more. Even if they offer less at least they're honest! Another pure example of day light robbery is when i called them i told them i was getting 20mbps on my phone but on my playstation 4 i was getting ranging from 1.7mbps to 15.9mbps and the guy said ‘the playstation doesn't tell you the right amount’ or ‘thats not a reliable source, your phone speed test is what you should look at’....!!! Well mate me playing call of duty and transporting across the map shows me that my connection feels like 1.7mbps so you cant tell me otherwise! If you promise people a certain product give it !
Could you access your router using http://192.168.0.1/ or http://192.168.100.1 for modem mode . You shouldn't need log in, select the 'Check Router Status' option and paste your 'Downstream', 'Upstream', and 'Network Log' tabs? Please copy/paste this data as text, split between multiple posts (Sometimes you have to click 'Post' twice due to an error message).
We can have a look for any oddities in the stats.
Could you please create a BQM (Broadband Quality Monitor) here, and post the live link?
