Internet speed very

We are supposed to receive 500mbps speed, (we have the “omph” package, but upon checking our V6 box through the TV we are only getting 112- 116mbps.

It’s really frustrating as Virgin Media aren’t helping and we have only had the service a month.

Is this running the inbuilt speedtest on the V6 or testing with your own devices?

Is this with a wired or wireless device?

Remember on wireless you are not going to get full speed, regardless.

You need to speedtest with a laptop wired direct to the hub not a tv box

The speedtest built into the V6 will only reach 100-120mbs.  As Gary has said above, will require a wired device that is capable of this speed.

I’ve done a Google Speed Test and that is showing 264mbps. Much better, but still not close to what we are paying for. 
mom really not tech-savvy and have two pre-teens moaning that their internet speeds are causing games to be lagging. Ahh!!! 🙈

Virgin Media lady told me to run this test through Netflix on my V6 box and TV
