Re: Internet keeps falling to silly low speeds after reboot.

My internet has gone crazy since new years eve, guessed it was just everybody on the internet was there problem but just has not got any better . Everything is so slow , buffering or timing out . Playstation shows download of nearly 100mpbs when reboot but next test its down to 1mbps. The hangs around under 10mpbs. Any help ?

Re: Internet keeps falling to silly low speeds after reboot.

The recommended lower limit for downstream power levels/channel is -6dBmV - so many of yours are below that and the rest close to it. Your upstream power levels are on the high side too (albeit just in range).

You need a technician visit to adjust the power levels. Either call it in as a fault (might be quicker) or wait for a day or two on here when a VM Forum Team member should offer to arrange that for you

Re: Internet keeps falling to silly low speeds after reboot.

Well that's a waste of an hour of my life , rang 150 to report fault explaining what had been said in previous message . Only to be told that's rubbish , people post anything in the places was he's reply (meaning virgin own community pages ). When i then mentioned my virgin HUB 3.0 status report with many critical faults and warnings he replied never heard of it .... Refused to book technician or allow me to speak to any senior member of staff. Now got to wait for a call back tomorrow as everything is right at his end. Thou i have very slow internet and test that give far apart results . I await a Virgin response ...........

Re: Internet keeps falling to silly low speeds after reboot.

Offshore are mostly untrained droids who read from scripts. You wont get any call back so dont wait in.

A VM forum staff member should pick this up on here in a day or two and arrange a visit with you.
Or a VIP might ping them from here to speed things up a little.
