Increasing number and duration of Intermittent dropouts

I am placing a post for some feedback, but my initial feeling is that I will require a Virginmedia response.

I am a long term Virginmedia customer and this is the first instance where I have experienced issues on the broadband package.   Receiving M200 broadband and have been active and stable for a very long time.  Over the last two to three weeks I have been experiencing drop-outs where the speeds drop from 200 plus Mbps to below 10Mbps.  Hub3 set up in Modem only mode and a WIFI mesh installed.  I have performed the speed tests utilising the mesh and cat6 connection directly to the modem to prove the connection drop out is the Virginmedia Broadband and not the WIFI network.

Your upstream power settings are too high and you have a lot of errors.

Have you tried rebooting the router or a pinhole reset at the back of the router, hold in for at least 50 seconds and give 5 mins to reboot 🙂

Thanks for taking the time to respond.  I have done both some quick power re-sets of the hub3, and I have also performed a factory re-set of the hub3 which gave a temporary reprieve of the intermittent issues of about 24 hours before the drop-outs started to re-occur.

Sounds like you have a fault on the line my friend, you would still need an engineer to put the power levels right. Best to ring VM after 8am to arrange this or you can wait here for an answer from a Virgin rep, although this could take 5-7 days sometimes sooner sometimes longer.
