I want a superhub 5. I want a superhub 5. I want a superhub 5. I want a superhub 5.

Stop sending them to new customers and give them to the customers who have been waiting and promised over promise over promise.

I'm so fed up with the constant "the hub4 is capable" blah blah blah blah.  IT IS NOT FROM A SINGLE ETHERNET CABLE.  Since I have no other PC's and I don't sit downloading on my mobile or do anything else then I need the 2.5GbE port for my PC for the full speeds.

I honestly don't see it as a ME problem it is a YOU Virgin Media problem for giving them to people on 50 and 100mbit packages early on (which it has no use for whatsoever, since they can neither saturate the cable nor wifi5 on the hub4), it was an idiotic waste done by whoever at Virgin.

I'm actually ready to cancel my entire package with you over this.  I cannot understand why you insist on advertising the 5 still, telling existing customers there "isn't any" or "you can't have one" or "your hub4 is good enough, WHEN IT ISNT" yet giving new customers one.

Disgusting attitude and service.

There's no such thing. It's a Hub5.

Does your PC have a 2.5GHz port?

You wont get one until the VM Marketing Department decides that they have enough stock to satisfy all demands for it and change the rule. It will happen in due course - if you want it now you could invest in your own Hub with a 2.5GHz port

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi) Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

I love that you are ready to cancel you virgin media service just because you can’t get a HUB 5😂😂

but in all seriousness there was a time about 4 weeks ago when you could get one on a certain link  which is no longer active(I did manage to get one and let me tell you it is far better then the HUB 4)

have you tried ringing and web chat them and also threatened to leave as it may get you one.

"There's no such thing as a hub5"

Yes there is, but there's no such thing as a 2.5Ghz Port Either,  it's a 2.5GbE.

You guys are about as mentally challenged as VM support.

And yes, losing 190mbit is nothing, I should be perfectly happy that my missing speed equates to 3-4x the National Average broadband speed because a company can't be bothered to supply their customers with the proper hardware.

You misquoted me. I said there is no such thing as a Superhub 5.  There isn't.

You're right of course about the 2.5GHz. Entirely my fault for not checking the autocorrect.

Out of interest, when you eventually connect a 2.5Gbps Hub to your 1Gbps PC, what download speed do you expect to get?

Trust me, you do not want a Hub 5, yet. Take a look at this thread: Re: Same problem as others with disconnection issu... There are a number of us on the Hub 5 that experience random reboots around 23.30 / midnight over a good number of nights EVERY week. Virgin wont acknowledge there is an issue and blame everything and anything rather than acknowledge it's an issue.

It’s always best to be positive but we all have crappy days.

Whats so much better about downloading at 1.1gbps vs 1gbps?

I got one as a new customer, and it makes sense to give them to new customers so they not swapping out at a later date.  I think the reason they want to give to new customers and those on hub 3's, not hub 4's is they want to gradually migrate from 3.0 to 3.1 channels as they more efficient, can't do that for those on modems that dont support 3.1.

The 1130-1150 that everyone else gets.  Which is what VM's realspeed suggests.

1130mbit is what VirginMedia Advertises on their own website as the "Average speed" users got.  Which we all know is utter BS since the majority of them are on a Hub4 with a 1gbps port aka around 940mbit.
