Yesterday I've upgraded from Hub3 600Mbps to Hub5 1Gbps
Plugged Cat6 Ethernet cable laptop directly in to Hub5 in router mode and I'm only getting circa 400Mbps (using https://www.speedtest.net). This is actually slower than what I had on my previous package.
Wifi from phone, getting 800Mbps (using App Speedtest)
I'd like to see the wired connection surpass the Wifi speeds. I've tried doing a factory reset and using different cables. Help would be appreciated.

For anyone in the know - does this mean VM have my configuration still set to 600Mbps?

1148 is the speed from VM to your hub disregarding any attached equipment, so you are definitely on 1G.

Yeah so it must be something from Hub to Device - I'll try a better spec cable and maybe upgrade network card.
But out of interest on the screenshot above, shouldn't the SamKnows site state the Service Provider to be Virgin Media 1000x50 rather than 600x40? Just curious where that comes from.

Honestly, Samknows it utter nonsense. Please see my thread as it might help you: https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Speed/Not-getting-full-1Gbps-speeds-READ-THIS/td-p/5188017
I just did a https://samknows.com/realspeed/ test and got the following result:
(552 to hub, 159 to computer)
I've not seen this before, but even the number on the left cannot now be trusted! As if I hop over to Speedtest, I get:
(791 down, 51 up)
BOTH ARE WRONG.
If I go download from Steam right this moment, I get a consistent speed of 140MB/s, which translates to 1120Mbps!
There's definitely something weird going on with speedtests, as it appears other users can get the 1000Mbps+ results, but I have never seen on myself, despite getting the 1000Mbps+ speeds on real downloads, which is what actually matters.
I would recommend you test your speeds on some real downloads, such as on Steam as that is definitely the most reliable I have found so far!
