Similar to some other threads so sorry for the repetition
I'm using ookla app on a desktop with Killer E3000 2.5G network card directly connected with a new cat6 cable to Hub4. No other switches etc on the network. I generally see 950Mbps ish download, upload between 35 and 50 Mbps.
After a (random) number of days download drops to @10% of this - and it's consistently around 10%, never 15 % or 5%. Upload stays around the same, might dip a bit but acceptable.
Generally a hub reboot fixes (but is annoying). This last time, it took several reboots over three days before it came back to speed. The virgin "test" page which asks for a postcode and surname doesn't recognise my account, and I think getting to webchat is dependent on going through that.
Any thoughts ?
I'm a bit tempted to run some sort of monitor on a linux box to log real-time stats in case it's a particular time or there's a discernable pattern, but it's easier to reach out to you guys to start with 🙂
